HOW TO APPLY
QUALIFICATIONS
The program is open to rising seniors in the state of Michigan. Aspirnaut interns must be 16 years of age or older by the start of the program. There will be at least six high school interns in the 2025 cohort.
An excellent academic record and participation in a wide range of extracurricular activities are highly regarded but are not the sole criteria for the selection process.
Any U.S. citizen or resident alien (green card) who is a high school student (with junior standing) at any Michigan high school at the time of the fellowship is welcome to apply.
If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian will also be contacted to acknowledge that they are aware that you applied to the program and that they approve of your participation if you are selected.
APPLICATION
To apply:
Fill out the LSI Aspirnaut Application Form on Interfolio (below)

Two Letters of Recommendation: Enter the names, email addresses, and a personal message for each of the two reference letter writers who agreed to submit letters on your behalf for the system to request letters of recommendation.
