The Aspirnaut Summer Research Internship offers Michigan high school students a chance to experience life as professional scientists. During this six-week residential program, students join real research projects led by University of Michigan scientists, contributing to active discoveries. Living on campus, they explore STEM careers, develop research skills, and gain firsthand insight into university life.

Hosted at the University of Michigan’s Life Sciences Institute, Aspirnaut immerses students in a collaborative research environment alongside world-class scientists. Interns live on campus in Ann Arbor, with housing, meals, and stipends provided; ensuring access for all while discovering what it means to learn, work, and belong in a thriving scientific community.
